This coffee comes to us from producer Consuelo Gomez and her farm La Cascada, which is located in the Los Alpes community in Nariño, one of the most famous coffee-growing regions in Colombia.
With only about 280 residents, Los Alpes is an extremely small community with a longstanding tradition of ecological preservation. Every producer in Los Alpes preserves a part of their farm as untouchable forest, as well as leaving native plants untouched near natural waterways.
Consuelo has been growing coffee for the last 25 years at La Cascada, where she lives with her husband and two children. In addition to coffee, she also grows bananas, avocados, and cavassa. Consuelo's farm is accessible only via motorcycle, so transporting the coffee from harvest can be a bit of a challenge, to say the least. Many farmers in Los Alpes carry the coffee manually to the nearest road to get it to market.
This is another incredible offering from the Los Alpes region. In the cup, we're tasting notes of apple cider, white wine, and baking spices. The coffee's sweetness is well defined and decadent, while remaining light, bright, and refreshing.

Frequently Asked Questions
When Will My Order Ship?
Most orders ship the next business day from when they are placed, unless that is a holiday.
The only exception is any pre-order item, which will ship on the date stated on that item's pre-order page.
Do You Have Recommendations For Brewing?
Yes!
First, we recommend a brewing ratio of about 1:17. So whatever your dose of coffee is for a brew (we recommend weighing your coffee in grams), multiply that number by 17, and use that weight of water to brew.
Second, always try to grind your coffee fresh, directly before you brew. This will significantly impact the flavor.
Lastly, and maybe most important, always use the highest quality water you can. Filtered is always best. Coffee is 98.5% water, so the water you use makes a huge difference.

Is ReAnimator Coffee Organic/Fair Trade?
While some of our coffees may happen to be certified organic or fair trade, we do not specifically look for either of these certifications when sourcing coffees, and do not market them as such.
All of our coffees are bought at fixed prices above the c-market, and 99% of the time we are paying higher prices than the Fair Trade Certified price.
Our sourcing goals are always quality and flavor focused, and we buy from producers and importers we trust to provide us with coffee that fits into our ideology.
